Chick Day

Well I had an awesome day with Tena yesterday! And as expected we didn't get pedicures (our girl called in sick), and we didn't go to a movie either. We did, however, go to Bayshore, bought the first thing we saw when we walked through the door (lotion {from the Dead Sea}, nail buffer, cuticle cream); had our eyebrows done (Tena was a newbie to that as well, so we sat at the Second Cup for a Chai Latte and listened to a fellow play guitar while her angry red eyebrow area calmed down a bit rofl...sorry Tena); found a great 50% off sale on summer clothes at Zellers; went to The Works for lunch/supper (we go a little sidetracked shopping), best burgers anywhere, by the way, I highly recommend; finally went to Walmart to pick up a tote for all the baby stuff Brook got on Sunday, bought some nice bubble bath & some cat food, Tena got her nail polish remover...I don't think we forgot anything on our mental lists! All of the people we dealt with were awesome too...well maybe the girl at Second Cup asking Tena if she just had her eyebrows done wasn't the most tactful thing, again sorry Tena! I think we're planning to do the pedicure next time 'round, probably in a couple of weeks.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the rest of the day. I might either make some cards, or I might head out, not sure. Tomorrow I'm going back to Ottawa with my friend Jennifer, her daughter has an appointment. After we get back, we're heading up for the opening weekend at her trailer at Ferguson Lake, should be fun. I may not be posting again until Monday (not bad since I wasn't going to post at all right?), so have a great weekend if I don't see you :)

Road trip

Well, today an old friend and I are heading out on tour. Our first stop is The Artful Body salon in Arnprior for a pedicure...first one of the year. Tena (my friend), has never had one before, and isn't so sure what she thinks of someone touching her feet, so this could be interesting. Next stop is Ottawa for a movie I think...although her and I have been know to strike out and end up anywhere our little hearts desire, like Picton say. We had no idea Picton was a 3 1/2 hour drive away when we decided to go, on a whim, one afternoon :0. We shall see what the day will bring.

Back so soon

Wow! I'm back again already. It looks like today is going to be a rainy day...might be perfect to do some shopping. I need to get a tote for a baby things today, as we had a shower for my son, (yes my son), on Sunday and now need somewhere to store everything. I thought a shower for my son would be a nice way for him to share in some of the experience, as he and the babie's mom are no longer together. Well, I better get a move on and get something accomplished...maybe even make a card or two if I can bring myself to drag out my supplies :)

Well, here I am. I was simply trying to sign up on My Unity Place, but couldn't without a blog, so... refer to sentence #1. I don't really plan on maintaining the blog, but who knows, I may find I have more to say than even I know...
